Driver Education: Session 1- Classroom DE001
Did you know that some insurance companies offer discounts for teen drivers who have taken Driver Education? We offer Driver Education right here at Manchester High School to 16- and 17-year-olds. All classes meet for 15 two-hour sessions, not including the eight hours of behind-the-wheel instructions, which is by appointment. You must maintain an academic average of 70 (C-) and attend a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction to be awarded the Connecticut State Secondary School Driver Education Certificate and 3 MHS credits.
The behind-the-wheel phase is conducted by appointment before and after school and on weekends (DE002). You must have a State of Connecticut Learnerís Permit before you begin the on-the-road-session. An additional fee of $235 will Driver Education be due for the on-the-road instruction. Register online or call us today No Class on 4/15 & 4/18 due to Spring Break
