Kids can easily run and bike for a distance. Here’s an idea for the swimming portion from Facebook Page for Women in Parks and Recreation:


Real triathletes right now are using rowing as a swim substitute because the muscle group used is somewhat similar. Kids could do weight rows with something like canned goods or water bottles or play doh cans... that way it’s not all legs.
