Fernandes Farmstead
Students watch as the farm's resident beekeeper, Joshua, provides a tour of the micro apiary, harvests honey frames straight from the hives, and explains and demonstrates the extraction process. Come and visit this small family run farm in Manchester. They raise grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, free range chicken eggs, and local raw honey. Each student will leave with a jar of freshly harvested spring honey.
The class is on a working farm. Please wear closed-toe shoes, appropriate attire, and sun protectant if necessary.
